Tennis Club AGM 2010
The Bethersden Tennis Club AGM will be held at the Clubhouse on 9th September at 8pm. There will also be a little ceremony to officially turn on the new floodlights.
The Commitee would like as many members as possible to attend. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Bethersden Tennis Club are enjoying a good start to the summer season with strong results in both adult and junior sections.
Juniors have teams competing in all ages groups in both Kent and Ashford and District leagues.
The Under 12 boys have had wins against Wye and Hayne Barn Tennis Clubs, the girls have beaten Hayne Barn, Hollybush (Sevenoaks) and Tunbridge Wells.


The U 14 boys have beaten Herne Bay, Faversham, Canterbury but were narrowly defeated by Hythe.
In the older sections the U 16 and U 18 have beaten Hayne Barn and Herne Bay respectively but lost against Canterbury and Hythe.In the younger age groups the Under 10 have won their only game so far - a convincing win over Hayne Barn.The adults also have a number of teams in County and local leagues.
The mens teams have started well with wins against Faversham, Chilham and Hawkhurst, and a draw against rivals Hythe in the Ashford league. In the Kent League they have found success against St Johns (Tunbridge Wells) and Maidstone and but were beaten in a hard fought encounter against Shooters Hill.
The mixed doubles teams have also enjoyed a good summer so far, with victories over Sellindge, Bexley, Frindsbury Park and draws with The Knoll and Shirley Moor.
With over 150 members at the club Bethersden has established itself as one of the most active clubs in the county, with a year round coaching programme in place and a thriving social section. Close links with schools provides coaching for hundreds of children and a recent Year3/4 tournament saw Egerton School crowned as champs with Tenterden Juniors runners up.

9 am- 12 pm 7-11 year olds. 12.30-3.30pm 12-17 year olds.
£15 / day or £50 for 4 days.

Bethersden Tennis Club run Tots Tennis sessions at the Club in Mill Road Bethersden on Tuesdays from 9.45-10.30am.
These are for pre- school children aged from 3 years old upwards and will be fun based sessions teaching listening skills, movement, balance, agility and co-ordination as well as basic racket and ball skills.
The cost for a 6 week course is £24 and parent involvement is encouraged.
Our coaches are all LTA qualified and CRB checked.
